Cape May

I think I mentioned to you before...a littler further North of Cape May...is Big Timer Lake. We stayed there last year for 10 days and are thinking of going back this summer. 5-10 minutes to Avalon Beach. 5-10 Minutes to Cape May County Zoo.....20-30 minutes to Cape May.   For the most part nice size sites and the Seasonals were mostly grouped together in the back.  Kyle,

Sussex:
In northen NJ we stay about 10 days every August in
Sussex, NJ at Pleastant Acres Campground. www.pleasantacres.com This place has seasonals but no matter what their status I am yet to meet an unfriendly person there.
It is owned and run by several generations of the same family. They have great planned activities and lot of quiet relaxation.
My husband and I are in our 40's and we're already hoping to spend part of our retirement there as our northern stop.

Toms’ River::

Most NJ campgrounds will readily admit they are FULL of seasonal campers. More now than ever before... since 9/11.
We camp in NJ every summer and have found a few campgrounds that are just wonderful.
If we want to go 'down the shore' we stay in Albocondo Campground in
Toms River which is quite a drive north of Cape May though. http://www.gocampingamerica.com/albocondo/
This campground is just a quiet little place that is family owned and run. It has one nice pool and a 9-hole chip-n-putt next door. It's about a 10 minute drive to the boardwalk at
Seaside Heights. The small store is limited in hours, they do not have a laundry mat and the interior roads are dirt & weathered but it's always quiet and they do not allow locals to camp there to deter drinking groups on the weekends which is a common occurrence at the Jersey Shore.
